Missions is part of the DNA of our church. Our church began in the fall of 2002 with a home Bible study in the home of Richard & Carmen Payne. In March of 2003 a core group of believers gathered for a worship service and, as they say, the rest is history. Our church was organized as a self-supporting local congregation in October of 2007 and is affiliated with the Baptist Missionary Association of America (BMAA).

Our church supports missions through the BMAA. Our current missions support goes to Bible translation and church planting in Papua New Guinea (Jeremy Hambrice), children’s ministry in Dominican Republic (Jesse Hales), church planting in Peru (John Michael Poulin), and mission work in France (Mike Cross). Other non-BMAA projects we support include Operation Christmas Child from Samaritan’s Purse and the New Creation Children’s Home in Nepal.

We also have a number of members who have gone on short-term mission trips. River of Grace encourages its members to be active participants in the Great Commission both home and abroad.

We take to heart what Scripture says in Psalm 127: 3 that children are a gift from the Lord. We want to help parents in their responsibility in teaching their children. We offer a nursery during the worship service. Children preschool to 3rd grade begin the service with their families in the Auditorium and are dismissed to Children’s church before the sermon. The children will be engaged with active learning through Bible stories, games, music and more. On the first Sunday of each month, all children three years and older stay for the entire service with their families and are provided a notebook of activities.

Media & Technology

Media plays an important part of our worship service.  If you would like to serve the Lord by operating the sound system or computer, please talk to Jason Burns.

The purpose of the Worship Ministry at River of Grace is to see the nations worship Jesus by listening to His voice, speaking His Word & living a lifestyle of worship. We strive to make every ministry an act of worship. All of our lives should be worship. Romans 12:1 says to present our bodies as a living sacrifice. That means we don’t live for ourselves. Rather, we make it our goal to please the Lord. The music in our worship service is a blend of traditional and contemporary. We don’t want to forsake the hymns because of their depth and richness. We include the contemporary because of its passion and intimacy. We have opportunities for both children and adults to sing, play an instrument or share a reading, a testimony or other acts of worship that can enhance our worship service. For more information about the worship ministry, contact Jason Burns.
